Bagel Street used to be my go to place to grab a bagel sandy, breakfast or otherwise, on the way to or back from work. The service is quick, the selection of bagels and beverages is pretty solid, and on the off chance they screw up, they fix the issue right away. The staff here makes me laugh every time I go in here, as they like to crack jokes and have a good time with their customers. It's close to the house, quick, and very convenient.

This is a staple breakfast spot. The quality and freshness of the bagels and cream cheese is excellent, as is the customer service. Don't miss: Asiago bagel (toasted) with scallion cream cheese. Skip: Coffee cake

Dirty, dirty, dirty. If you ordered plain cream cheese on Sunday after 11 am you probably got something extra with it. Saturday night I was cooking a complicated dish that required pan searing then oven roasting with a sauce that was to be finished in the pan on the stove. Why is this revelant to my review of a bagel shop? My dumb self grabbed the handle while preparing the sauce and I was left with first and second degree burns on all 4 fingers on my left hand. Blisters and puss galore! Sunday morning I went into bagel street, hand iced and slathered in aloe, puss still pussing. I ordered a plain bagel with veggie cream cheese. After opening the bagel I realized that it had plain cream cheese, not veggie so I took it back in. Rather than throw away the handled bagel and making a new one. The woman behind the counter decided to save 13 cents and took back my bagel, scraped off the plain cream cheese, slopped it back into the general container and replaced it with veggie cream cheese. I was so disgusted I left the "new" bagel on a table. I had to carefully wipe cream cheese off my burned hand after I opened the first one. There is no way a small bit of the puss and aloe didn't end up in the plain cream cheese container.

This largely a "first impression" review, as I've only been to this place once so far. I ordered some chicken salad melt, and the food itself was fine. However, service was slow and kind of disorganized. After I ordered and paid, I stood near the counter while waiting. Then the lady at the counter tried to make me pay again, but I was like "no, no, I've already paid". I'll probably be back in the future to buy e.g. half a dozen bagels to take home, since they have some pretty unique flavors that aren't easily found elsewhere, but overall I don't think the ready-made meals are worth it. And like some reviewers have already mentioned, there is indeed a $5 minimum for using credit cards.

Love the bagels here. I bring my kids here every couple of weeks and we always have a good time. Tip: get there before 10am on a weekend because some of the bagels start to run out.

Never had the bagels but they have a potent iced coffee. Large for a bagel joint and the workers are friendly. Good morning stop off if you need jump juice.

Great breakfast bagels! They have all the normal bagels you would typically find at any place however; they also had some that I've never seen. I tried the cinnamon sugar crunch and it was really good too.

One of the best sandwiches I have had in years!! It was absolutely delicious, so good I bought another after I was finished.! I had the turkey bacon avocado on a fresh baked Dutch crunch roll. Everything was very fresh, and the owners were very friendly! Keep up the great work.

DO NOT GO HERE. I'm all for supporting mom-and-pop shops but the owners are very shady and don't deserve your business. This place is near my office and it always seems busy in the morning so I stopped by with the boyfriend on a whim. Big mistake. We got 1 sesame bagel, toasted with REGULAR cream cheese and tomato slices. We asked the lady making the bagel how much the tomatoes cost. She said 50 cents. When we got to the register, the owner (I'm guessing her husband), rang us up and charged us for FLAVORED cream cheese and 55 cents for the tomatoes. Plus tax. We didn't think much of it since it was only a difference of a few cents. I saw they had hazel nut coffee so I went back to get a small coffee (priced at $1.50) and was charged $1.62. Fine, I'm not going to whine over just 12 cents. I go over to the coffee pots, get myself some "Hazelnut" only to realize that it was just regular dark roast. I tell the lady and she opens it and says "This is hazelnut" which it obviously wasn't. So my boyfriend and I tell the owner and ask for a refund (I can get regular ol' coffee at the office). He apologizes and gives me back $1.50. I tell him since he charged me tax, he should refund me the full amount of $1.62. He begrudgingly hands me 12 cents because he KNEW that was right. We got out of there fast and won't be coming back. The bagel itself wasn't bad but I'm sure we're not the only ones the owners have cheated. 10 cents here, 20 cents from another customer...it all adds up. It disgusts me to think how many poor people have been scammed by this awful couple. Cheating your customers is a pathetic way to run your business. Yelpers - spare yourselves and take your money elsewhere!

I was happy with the prices at first. $6.53 for a breakfast bagel and coffee. I was astounded to find, however, that the ammoubt actually charged me was $446.53. Had I not compulsively checked my account at the shop this could have been a real problem- especially because they did not provide me a receipt. They dealt with it slowly, putting their customers first as I became late to a meeting, then proceeded to charge me for what I had purchased after voiding the hundreds they charged me. The bagel and coffee were both sub par at best, but the ineptitude of the service takes the cake. I don't review places often, but I had to share this experience. Check your accounts when you order here. I'm glad I did.

I've always wanted to come here as it is super close to my house. I finally decided to go today and it was so GOOD! Although I went for just a bagel, their menu shows that they have way more than a plain bagel. I got a chocolate chip bagel with cream cheese. At first I thought the taste would be weird but it is bomb. Definitely coming here more often to try the rest of their menu

Absolutely love this place!! I am a regular! Location is very close to my job!(big plus) they are always happy to see me and know exactly what I want every time! Turkey bagel sandwhich on cheddar bagel....big yum!

They've repeatedly over charged me by 20 cents hoping I wouldn't notice and last two times I ordered a crunch Cali roll they didn't add the bacon and when I asked the lady she pretended like she didn't hear me and didn't even apologize. They try to make/save as much money as they can by ripping ppl off. Foods delicious but just watch out.

I had an appointment in the area and found myself here one weekday morning. I left satisfied, but not blown away. The bagel? exactly what I needed it to be. Fluffy, solid amount of cream cheese and viola - a tasty breakfast. I guess for me the service was a bit off and cold. It wasn't the worst I've had, but no it didn't like a non chain bagel place could. Oh well. The layout is okay too, I don't know. Something was just off. But it was clean and plenty of seating in the circle like room. Would I go again? Sure. Would I go out of my way to come here again? Maybe not.

I work right next door and I eat here almost everyday. Are you craving breakfast? They make amazing breakfast sandwiches that will put a McDonalds McMuffin to shame. Their bagels are delicious too and they're always very generous with the amount of cream cheese they give you :) Okay, so what about lunch? They make amazingly delicious gourmet sandwiches and they bake their rolls fresh everyday! Can't get better than that! The staff is always super nice and the cafe is very clean. Definitely recommend! A+

Best Bagels in the Bay Area. The simple ones are just as delicious as the special ones. Tip: Give the bagel rolls a shot. They are worth it. And the owner is always friendly and good for a chit-chat.

Mom and pop bagel shop conveniently located. The owners are really friendly and the bagels are way better than chain shops. They're not manhattan quality or anything but hey, this is mountain view. The coffee is actually decent so you might not need that extra trip to starbucks across the parking lot. But they run out of coffee a lot, so a few times I've wanted a cup and they were out.

This place is always amazing. I used to work in the area years ago and decided to stop in this morning in the hopes that they have not changed. I was not disappointed!! I love their bagels and also their sandwichs. Very fresh ingredients and very friendly staff.

Love this place. Great bagels baked fresh, lots of options including sandwiches and spreads, enough space so that on weekends there is ample room to sit down and relax while you eat. What I also really love is that the people that own it/work there are so nice, which gives it a neighborhood feel amidst all the mega-chains in the area!

This a nice little shop that went from solid food to amazing when I discovered their sandwiches. I usually get a corn beef sandwich with everything on it and Dutch crunch bread. You must try the Dutch crunch! It's so good and it's NOT the type of Dutch crunch that will easily scratch the top of your mouth if you know what I mean. I'm on the verge of saying one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The bagels are good but not quite as good as the sandwich IMO. Remember that there is a $5 min for credit card and ask for a stamp card for sandwiches. Stamp card doesn't apply to single bagels. I forget if it works for bagel sandwiches.
(4)
Nikki C.
Such a wide variety of bagels they have but sometimes the type of bagel u want and if.u come in too late in the day they might not have anymore. Maybe I need to start coming in earlier or they probably need to make or order more of the popular ones
(3)
Lance P.
Great bagels, cream cheese, and all around good food. Their coffee could use some work, like maybe some local roaster or something more interesting than what I find at most gas stations. They have WIFI with an password that they give you on request. I was very surprised to find only two tables have power for laptops etc. And it is an extension cord fed through a pane of glass from the kitchen. It took me a good 15 min to find it the first time I came in. I was very impressed with the food and staff so overall I do recommend this place. (5 dollar minimum for credit cards)

Ahhhh their veggie avocado sandwich (on a dutch crunch roll!) is preposterously incredible. It's a little weird that they charge more to have your sandwich on a roll than a bagel (and it's a little unclear with how they list it on the menu), but all right. If you're going to just go ahead and assume that I want sprouts on my sandwich, without even asking, you're an all right place by me. For 90 cents more you can add a fountain drink (free refills!) and a bag of chips-- totally fair deal. Sit outside in the sun on a nice day, and live a long life of no regrets. Expansive menu (more than your average bagel cafe!) with lots of vegetarian options. Next time, I'll have to actually try one of their bagels... And hope they don't forget that I asked for no pickles on my sandwich :(

I can't speak to the bagels here, but my wife loves bagels and loves their egg bagels. Me? I am in love with their chicken salad sandwich on a Dutch crunch roll with all the veggies. The dutch crunch roll is soft and unlike most dutch crunch rolls will not tear up the roof of your mouth. It still has a nice crunch and great flavor, just with out the torn up gums. Their chicken salad is simply awesome. Its on the saltier side so if that isn't your thing I wouldn't recommend it but I've made other people try it and the agree on its deliciousness. Combine the awesome sandwich with a great price and friendly service and you have a pretty awesome place for a quick lunch

They have the only strawberry cream cheese that does not have food coloring nor tastes artificially flavored. And their bagels are very good. They are open early enough. Plenty of parking. Great prices. Friendly staff. Clean, big, perfect for studying. My only complaint is that they have extremely limited locations elsewhere. I have moved and miss this place dearly.

Bagel Street Cafe leaves much to be desired. A while ago, I had phoned an order in, drove to pick it up and pay for it, only to arrive home to realize that the order was incomplete (missing about 25% of the custom bagels). So, I call Bagel Street Cafe to speak with a representative, only to learn that "I should have checked it before I left." Oh well, that's fine. There's plenty of other bagel joints in the area that are more than happy to take my money.

I give it a 7/10. I compare every bagel I eat to the pesto one from Posh, so I figure this one deserves a four just for trying. But I'm leaning towards 4 stars because the veggie schmear is better than most others. The bagels are a bit too doughy/bready for me, but if that's your thing then this place is perfect for you. The prices are usually a little bit less than bigger brand bagels, but sometimes the selection gets very low later on in the day. Usually I can find something I like (out of pesto, cheese, or onion) but I had to settle for a garlic bagel last week because they were out of everyyyything. I recommend going early to ensure you get a good flavor, and try it with the veggie cream cheese!

Freaking love this place. Great bagel sandwiches and very friendly and helpful staff. Free wi-fi, there's outlets and plenty of space. And there's two restrooms, one for the men and one for the women. I hate when I'm studying at Starbucks across the lot and I have to wait in line for the ONE bathroom that they have. (Sorry, bathrooms are very important to me, esp when i'm ingesting a lot of coffee/tea that makes me pee all the time). I definitely prefer this place better to study since it's not too loud/crowded, and also for their delicious bagel sandwiches during my breaks! =)

this bagel shoppe is very close to where i live, and i love that i can just walk here. their regular, standard-size bagels are $.99 each. gourmet bagels (anything with cheese in it) are more. i purchased: 1 strawberry bagel ($.99) pink coloured, but hard to taste the strawberry flavour. a few strawberry seeds were detected in the bagel. 1 blueberry bagel ($.99) blue-ish coloured, again, hard to taste the blueberry flavour as it was very mild. 1 sourdough bagel ($.99) good sourdough taste in this one. 1 small tub of light strawberry creem cheese ($2.75) a bit pricey for such a small tub, but this was an awesome cream cheese! lots of strawberry seeds and lots of strawberry flavour mixed in. great shmear for my bagels. i could have eaten this all by itself! inside seating is plentiful and spacious. there is some seating outside. there is lots of parking in this shopping center. employees are nice and friendly.

This place is awesome. I love how they have a huge selection of bagels- get the parmesan one! I love how their bagel sandwiches are absolutely stuffed with filling. I get so full from just one sandwich! Finally, the price can not be beat! They open super early and I would come here everyday for breakfast if only I didn't live so far away!

This place is a good stop for breakfast if you're on the run, and has wifi. HOWEVER, I am tired (tired!) of the noahficiation of the bagel industry. Fluffy bagels, that are served cut in half, as a SANDWICH are abomination. Go check Leviticus. I'm right. Abomination. When you get down to it, the food here is fine - but that is all it is. And perhaps it deserves more stars because its bagely competition in the area is also only fine (is there a bagel wholesaler sabeotaging the market, flooding it with large, foamy, non dense bagels? Inquiring minds wish to know.)

my fave sandwich shop! I always order the cali club on dutch crunch with avocado or white pepperoni pizza bagel and sometimes the zucchini bread or quiche. The owner is a very cool dude, friendly, good and fast service. clean, big bright place. I recommend this location first, or the mathilda location second, but DO NOT go to the one in cupertino!

If you want to grab a bagel sandwich, then this place will do very well for you. It is a very ordinary bagel shop that I've finally visited after driving by it for many years. I'm not disappointed at all. One negative is that I didn't see any power outlets if you want to nosh on a bagel and drink some coffee while getting some work done on your computer.

I've been coming here for a few years. They have good bagels and I used to really like their bagel sandwiches. They used to have a really good cheddar cheese that made their sandwiches awesome. I came here two weeks ago and ordered a bagel sandwich and they said they're out of cheddar cheese. Yeah they're out of cheese. They can't just walk to the Safeway and buy some more, no, that is against their strict policies! Can't break the rules! Better to tell the customer to screw themselves than go to a god damn store and buy more cheese. Nope. I came back a week later and they said they have discontinued the cheddar cheese. Discontinued the god damn cheddar cheese that is the only reason I come here. I asked why and they said their wholesale supplier no longer carries it. I asked the owner why don't you just go to Safeway or Costco and buy some? They said it would be too expensive. Cheese is too expensive. But only cheddar cheese. So they've just stopped serving it. Pure idiocy. I guess in the minds of moron business owners, it makes more sense to piss off and loose your customers than to raise your prices by 10 cents. Really how much can it cost to get cheddar cheese? Do you have any idea how terrible a bagel sandwich tastes with swiss or pepperjack cheese? It's horrible.

Today was my first stop at the Bagel Street Cafe. I had the Vegetarian Eggwich, and the prices were good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I am huge on customer service, and feel that is key to a business success.

Staff here was fairly helpful. I felt severely mislead as my iPhone Yelp app labeled this place as a Noah's. I had ordered a blueberry with cream cheese and S picked up a strawberry croissant. Major star losses when they refused to toast his croissant and sent it through the microwave like contraption. My bagel was nicely toasted. Definitely enjoyable. The unenjoyable part was the cream cheese. They didn't bother spreading the cream cheese. It came as a one inch thick blob in the center. Bleh. 5 dollar minimum on credit card purchases. This place needs to read their Visa contracts. Go figure... cheap Asian mom and pop place!
(3)
Peaches C.
Really friendly staff and reasonable prices. They make the best egg and spinach whole wheat breakfast bagels.
(4)
Raphael R.
I say that the service here leaves a lot of room to improve. Management and ownership were not able to address my order properly as professionally, after they made it incorrectly. The part of the order that was made correctly was tasty, but service is everything. I won't be back.

Great neighborhood feel. Louie and his sister run a nice friendly, warm and iniviting shop. The bagels are bigger than most shops and the prices are better than other shops. For lunch, the bagel sandwich combos (sandwich, chips, and soda) for slightly less than $7 is good deal. They also sell small portions of potato or macroni salads which make nice side dishes. Bagel Street offers free wifi and comfortable seating.

Finally I have found a new bagel place that isn't Noah's. This place is going to be my new breakfast spot. Rolled in this morning and bought 2 bagels with cream cheese and two medium coffees. Only $7! This is unheard of in the bagel world. I love these low prices. The bagels were fresh, with interesting flavors, and the coffee selection is great. My boyfriend got the house blend, but they had about 6 varieties. I got the iced coffee which they added foamy milk to, yummy. And I like the fact they have an extensive menu of sandwiches, quiches, and pastries. I will definitely be back!

Even though I live down the street from Bagel Street, I haven't been there because I'm not a huge bagel fan. But after I got a PO box at the Postal Annex next door, I kept walking by and one day saw that they had sandwiches. Since then, I've become a regular customer: - The store owner, a member of a family that has multiple Bagel Street cafes, is friendly and always remembers me - The rolls are delicious, made from the same tasty dough as the bagels, but without the inconvenient shape and large enough to hold ample sandwich fixings - They have a Jewish baking consultant they hired who has taught them to bake authentic bagels - A nice selection of fresh and tasty sandwich fixings - They have good coffee - A nice selection of beverages - The "greenhouse" sitting area is very pleasant - Service is reasonably fast - Prices are reasonable - They have a frequent-buyer program The downside is that they're out of some bagels/rolls at off hours. This reassures me that their baking is always fresh, but it could be disturbing if they don't have any kind of roll that I like.

I love Bagel Street Cafe! The bagels are always fresh and flavorful and the staff is pleasant and very helpful. The interior is cute and they even have a couple tables outside. In the morning I like to get an Asiago bagel with veggie cream cheese or an Everything bagel breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese... delightful! Although I enjoy them, the bagels alone might only rate 3-4 stars but if you factor in the sandwiches, this is definitely a 5 star place. Lunchtime is my favorite. Their California Club sandwich is awesome! They serve a generous portion of turkey, bacon, cheese and lots of veggies on fresh baked bagel rolls, there are many varieties: dutch crunch, sesame seed, onion, wheat and my personal favorite is the Asiago roll, yum! My boss and I had lunch there today and were both very satisfied. (she had the Avocado Veggie sandwich on a wheat rolI and although I think mine was better, she liked it a lot) I work close by so I'll be back soon Bagel Street!

Add this to the list of "why haven't I known about this place by now". I stopped in here today for a sandwich after grabbing some drugs at CVS. I usually head to Boston Market, but figured I'd try something new. Now, I don't like bagels - I'll just say that up-front. That's right...I said it. I don't like 'em. Don't like the chewiness. And I'm okay with that. That said, I noticed they had rolls for their sandwiches, so it sounded like a better choice over Boston Market. I wasn't disappointed! The lady suggested a turkey avocado sandwich and that sounded perfect. She put it on a dutch crunch roll - and I've had more misses than hits with dutch crunch. But this was the best I've had. Nice and soft, perfectly crunchy on top. One of the best rolls I've had. The ingredients were top notch and fresh. The turkey was Boar's Head quality - and the avocados were fresh and delicious. I got mine without sprouts and cucumbers - I think next time I'll ask for no peppercinis as well. I prefer banana peppers. But overall, very good and I'll definitely be back. It's the best option I've found for a sandwich in this area - our only options are Subway, Togo's and Safeway, afterall.

Certainly not Noah's. Bagel choices are numerous, that's always a good thing. Service is excellent -- quick and friendly. Bagel tasted good, but lox bagel could have more on it for the price. Friend ordered a sandwich on dutch crunch. It looked scrumptious, and she ate the whole thing (that never happens!). Filled with veggies and fresh baked bread. We'll stop by again for sure.

Love, love, LOVE this place. I had a temp. job down the road from Bagel Street Cafe and stopped in at least once a week in the morning to pick up a bagel. The lady working there started to remember me and now every time I go in she asks "Regular?" because she knows that I always order a jalapeno cheddar bagel with sun dried tomato cream cheese. Great place. I could seriously get a bagel from them each and every morning.
(5)
D. K.
A pretty good bagel spot. The bagel selection was a little small at noon on a Saturday, but maybe that's to be expected. My turkey on an asiago bagel sandwich was tasty. If you're in the area, it's not a bad lunch spot.

I came here to get some coffee. It was either here or Starbucks. I ordered a coffee and bought a cookie. The coffee was ok. Nothing special. I finally ate the cookie that I bought. It's chocolate chip and it's kinda crunchy. I don't think I'll be coming back, but then again not really out this far that often. The muffins they have displayed with the sign identifiy what they are should be changed. They're kind of a turn off because they're in there with the fresh ones. I'm not sure how long the muffins have been sitting in there, but kinda a turn off. If they would just use a fresh one every day and just sell the last one it would make a better presentation. The place was empty, but a couple of students went in to get either bagels or sandwiches. One guy ordered a sandwich. This place is run by a brother and sister team.

They make the best vegetarian eggwhich bagels here. I eat one every day and it's the best breakfast. They are friendly and quick, too.

About 3 years ago they closed the Noah's that was at this location and I was devastated. I wanted to picket outside and demand they bring Noah's back, that's how torn up about this I was. Had been eating bagels almost everyday for lunch since about 6th grade and I wasn't please to have to find a new bagel place my senior year of high school. Everywhere I tried was a disappointment: Posh-too small and hard (also that's what she said ;D ), Safeway-too doughy, House of Bagels-their bagels were also flawed in some way. For months I went bagel-less as no other chocolate chip bagels could meet my standard. But alas, Bagel Street Cafe finally opened when they finished construction and I had found happiness in the form of doughy cream cheese goodness again. My go-to bagel is the chocolate chip and I'll occasionally throw in some cinnamon or sesame seed. Almost every two weeks I'll go in and order a dozen chocolate chip bagels. The owners are super nice; they let me call in my order the day before just so I can pick it up fresh the next morning. I've been coming back fourish years and I refuse to go anywhere else. Even when I was studying abroad in Austria a bag of bagels was the one food I made my family bring me. I love my bagels and this is the best of the best!

Egg and cheese was good, and their lox spread was decent also. Good selection of drinks. However, at noon on a weekend, the fact that there were no sesame or poppy bagels, and only one whole wheat bagel, is a complete disgrace. wtf? Also, I asked them to toast a plain bagel for me, and it came out mushy and stale. I miss new york bagels.

I am that person... the one that wants to give one star for annoyance... but I won't. This is the part of being fair that sucks... SO, the bagels here are consistently decent - nothing to jump through hoops for, but it's convenient and close. The do not have fat free cream cheese either. They get a -1 star for their customer service. First off, the woman was very curt and cold. Secondly, I pull out my Visa to pay and she tells me there is a $5 minimum - but uh, guess what? This practice (requiring a minimum charge by merchants to consumers) is prohibited by both Visa and MasterCard credit card companies - it is in all the contracts. Most people do not know this fact - but yes, it's true. Instead of taking the time to attempt to explain this to her, I said "fine, throw in another bagel".... I left annoyed and frustrated. Maybe the owners check their reviews on yelp and will look over their policy agreements and make the much needed change.... and maybe they could smile more. I would happily add a star for the changes...

Giant pizza bagel bites! I had the cheese/pepperoni on a garlic bagel. Next time I think I'll get it on a plain bagel (it was a tad too garlicky for me). But - I'll be back!

This place is the BEST. And i love the fact that its all family owned, and its all around the Bay Area. And all the people that complained about missing Noah's, I've got time to really get to know the owner and he told me that the reason why its not Noah's anymore its because they were going out of business. They sell there Bagel really fast around 1to whenever they close, there aren't a lot of bagel left. So i recommend you go around 9 to noon. they have a lot of Cheese, and i like that. they have Cheddar, American,Swiss Pepper jack etc....... And i like the fact that they micowave the croissants, because if they put its through the toaster its get really burnt. I give this FIVE STARS, I really recommend you come here. And if you don't live around Mountain View, they have Bagel St Cafe, all around the Bay Area!!!! =D San Rafael, Millbrae, Walnut Creek etc...................

Bagel street - my home away from home. True, this is just a bagel cafe. It is not The French Laundry, or Chez Panisse. But there is something to be valued about simple, straightforward and consistent food. Went here practically every weekend during the 2 years spent in MV. Better selection of bagel flavors than Posh, not to mention that the bagels are twice the size. My favorite, the lox schmear, is cream cheese with bits of lox throughout - much better than the orange-hued lox flavored cream cheese from Noah's. Also loved the chicken salad bagel sandwich which came with tons of fresh veggies, especially on a pumpernickel bagel. The staff here has always been friendly. Service is fast and prices are actually reasonable.

This place is great! Sandwiches are amazing, cream-cheese works well and the prices are awesome. Had a tuna sand-which for lunch and it was very tasty. Obviously an experienced team and great bagels and ingredients. Also very well located. Highly recommended bagel shop!

How this place stays in business is a wonder to me. After Noah's closed, this place opened up. The bagels are the worst around town and their coffee sucks too. Their bagels actually taste like doughy bread instead of a real bagel and they are way oversized. On the rare (like once a year) occasion when I need to stop by here because I'm in a rush and it's the only bagel place nearby, I'm always hopeful that things have changed and improved but this place NEVER fails to disappoint. Ugh. Close already.

The sandwich of the year award goes to Bagel Street Cafe in Mountain View. Fresh baked bread lots of veggie options. The eggwich with cheese is an old breakfast standby. A couple years back I had an addiction to the eggwich with cheese. When I discovered a Bagel Street Cafe near my new job I had to restrain myself I have only had one in four months! At the age of 26 I have discovered self-discipline.

Good breakfast bagel, nice place and friendly folks. Five bucks for a good breakfast bagel!

I think I left "real" bagels behind for good when I left Skokie, IL in 1991. But Bagel Street's are tasty and fresh, and I just don't think there's a substitute for the friendliness and good humor of all the staff. Even my parents like to go when they visit from Ohio because the folks have such a nice way about them - not merely polite, but actually happy to see you. My go-to when I need a sandwich for myself or dozens for brunch.

Nothing special, I had bagel and coffee. The staff were a little weird, not very comfy.

Well, the egg bagel with ccheese was nothing special, but my bf really liked his... good americano though. I gave it four stars just bc I'm glad something replaced Noah's bc i love their sunny seating area and how its never too congested... Please stay open!! m-f open til 5 sat open til 4 sun open til 3

Great bagels, great coffee, great place to start your day

I have decided this is the best place in the area to get a sandwich. Whole Foods is a pain (time-consuming), Safeway is too far, and Togo's and others just aren't up to the quality found at Bagel Street. Having said that, their chicken salad was very salty and tasted like they had perhaps purchased it (not made onsite). But importantly, their turkey and vegetables tasted crisp and fresh and I am very satisfied with the quality-to-price ratio. Their bagels are yummy and they have an impressively large variety for a local shop. (Jalapeno *and* Jalapeno with Cheddar, cool) One comment on another review: Obviously, Jesse S. has never run a small business. Do you really think these people want to take an hour out of their lives each week to drive to Costco and get Cheddar Cheese? It's a business move, and it's certainly your prerogative not to shop there anymore over it.

I don't buy bagels at the grocery store just so i have a reason to come here. I love these bagels and the people who work here. I'm always greeted with a cheerful hello! and get quick service every time. I LOVE the cinnamon crunch bagel with cinnamon apple cream cheese. Try it.

I like their bagels...plain and simple. They don't mess around, and that's ok, I mean you're just getting a bagel or something else very simple. I like the egg flavored bagel with jam, I always pick up, take home and put jam on it myself (toppings are expensive). They freeze well (ask them for a complimentary freezer bag, they will happily give you one), so I usually by a half dozen because it works out much less expensive. They really should get 5 stars, but they frequently run out off egg, asiago, etc. and end up with only wheat and white left. For bagels, cheap and good quality.

I had been coming to this place at least twice a week for the last three years. The owner knew us. Then one day I politely point out that they overcharged me $1.35 for my bagel. The owner changed the price, and I paid and left. The next time we came, the owner ignored us and talked to another customer for 5 minutes while we were waiting. We gave up and left. We came back a week later and the place was empty so he couldn't ignore us. He immediately told us that if you order a bagel with veggies for breakfast, he "has to" charge us the price for a lunch veggie sandwich ($4.75). We pointed out that his menu says a bagel plus cream cheese is 2.00 on their menu plus 0.35 per veggie. He rudely refused to honor this price shown on his own menu. This owner only views customers as dollar signs and does not respect customer loyalty. We won't be coming back.

Absolutely delicious bagels, especially good toasted with cream cheese. There's not much in the way of a restaurant, so another good option is to grab and go.

I live pretty close to the location (Los Altos), and go there at least once a week. The owners are pretty cool (friendly, but not annoying). The bagels are great, good selection and variety of flavors. They make the bread fresh everyday and the turkey sandwich in the dutch roll is f**ing great! The coffee is good, can be better, but what other bagel place has good coffee?

Staff here are nice, tried a tuna melt and the bran muffin here. Both were pretty good. Bran muffin especially.

this used to be like my favorite little spot! this is a spot owned by a husband and wife. i'm a little irritated that at one point, i had been coming here almost everyday ordering bagels and sandwiches (either by myself or with co-workers) until one day another customer pulls out a card to be stamped. after 8 or so punches, u would get a free sandwich. (i immediately thought; why didn't I know about this?) the wife, who rings up orders, never suggested or offered me a card, AS MANY TIMES AS I'VE BEEN THERE!! the husband and wife know me by first name, and they also know which sandwiches are my favorite. so anyway, i ask for a card to be punched during that visit. well, this morning i went in for a bagel sandwich and could not find the original card that i started, so i reached for another one. the wife snaps and says "that's the wrong card, we ran out of the other one." the husband tells her it's ok, and for her to stamp the card anyway. meanwhile, i'm fishing through my wallet for the original card and find it at the last minute. she stamps the card and takes the new card back. my overall view is that the husband values business way more than his wife. a regular customer should have been offered the stupid card, its really not about the free sandwich. it's the point. i've already paid for MANY sandwiches over the past year. and a dispute could have easily taken place, but i smiled and left. i have taken a liking to House of Bagels, which has my favorite breakfast sandwich at a cheaper price. and their other sandwiches are also pretty scrumptious, too.

I feel bad giving this place such a bad review, but I am only basing this on the 13 bagels I bought. They were what we New Yorkers refer to as Bakery Bagels. No taste, wrong consistency (too fluffy inside) weak crust outside. Just awful. Toasting them did not improve them at all. The Wonder Bread of Bagels ecch.

I really really really really miss the Noah's bagel that use to be here. The new owners seem unhappy with owning a bagel shop and it totally shows in the taste of their bagels. The bagels are smaller than what Noah's use to serve, and they charge you extra for specialty bagel (sun dried, asiago, etc) and for specialty smears. I also don't think they get the concept of caesar salads. I orderd a caesar from guy behind the counter and he said to get one from the fridge. I looked in the fridge and it was all regular salads (iceburg, tomato, cucumbers, carrots). So I told him I didn't see any caesar, and he gave me a container of caesar dressing to put on a regular salad. um..BOO!

This place used to be Noah's Bagels but I went here the other day and it's now Bagel Street Cafe. Weird. So after getting over the confusion of expecting Noah's, my friend and I took a little while to try to figure out what we wanted. Why I'm not sure because I almost always get the same thing (see Bagel Street Cafe review for the Sunnyvale location). But it took the second time for someone to ask if we were ready before we ordered because we can be indecisive like that. It went something like this me: I would like a Hummus sandwich on a toasted plain bagel. But please only put the Hummus and sprouts. guy: On a plain bagel? me: Yes please guy: No sprouts, just hummus and tomato? me: No, just sprouts and hummus. Nothing else guy: Just plain? What about the lettuce? me: No, just sprouts and hummus guy: okay (turns around to prepare the bagel) lady goes over and talks to him while he's preparing it lady: So you want just lox and cream cheese? me: No, I wanted a Hummus sandwich with just sprouts and nothing else lady: Nothing else on it me: Nope, just those *sighs* Thankfully it came out as I ordered. The hummus wasn't bad for a non Mediterranean type place. But not super great and the bagel seemed a little small. My friend said her tuna melt on a plain bagel was average and the tuna was salty. I think I'll stick to the Sunnyvale location for my hummus sandwiches - and House of Bagels for my real bagels.

I work pretty close and never miss a chance to visit this place for lunch. Their bagels are great - but their rolls are equally good. Either way, yummy sandwiches. Owners are very friendly and try hard to please.

(4)Amanda M.
This is a staple breakfast spot. The quality and freshness of the bagels and cream cheese is excellent, as is the customer service. Don't miss: Asiago bagel (toasted) with scallion cream cheese. Skip: Coffee cake
(5)Jenna D.

(3)Jonathan M.
Love the bagels here. I bring my kids here every couple of weeks and we always have a good time. Tip: get there before 10am on a weekend because some of the bagels start to run out.
(5)Kim N.
Never had the bagels but they have a potent iced coffee. Large for a bagel joint and the workers are friendly. Good morning stop off if you need jump juice.
(3)Darius S.
Great breakfast bagels! They have all the normal bagels you would typically find at any place however; they also had some that I've never seen. I tried the cinnamon sugar crunch and it was really good too.
(4)Tony C.

(1)Nick N.
(1)Joyce M.
Love their bagel/cream cheese/sandwich selection. The owners are super friendly. Just wish they made soups! But love it, we come here every weekend!
(4)Jayme O.
The owners are really nice and the sun dried tomato bagel is yum-o!
(3)Lesleiy S.
(5)Xochilt R.
Absolutely love this place!! I am a regular! Location is very close to my job!(big plus) they are always happy to see me and know exactly what I want every time! Turkey bagel sandwhich on cheddar bagel....big yum!
(5)John H.
(1)Sabrina A.
Maybe not.
(3)Jeffrey A.
(5)Steffi A.
Best Bagels in the Bay Area. The simple ones are just as delicious as the special ones. Tip: Give the bagel rolls a shot. They are worth it. And the owner is always friendly and good for a chit-chat.
(5)Cat T.
(4)Natalie T.
This place is always amazing. I used to work in the area years ago and decided to stop in this morning in the hopes that they have not changed. I was not disappointed!! I love their bagels and also their sandwichs. Very fresh ingredients and very friendly staff.
(5)A C.
(5)Randy L.
(4)Nikki C.
Such a wide variety of bagels they have but sometimes the type of bagel u want and if.u come in too late in the day they might not have anymore. Maybe I need to start coming in earlier or they probably need to make or order more of the popular ones
(3)Lance P.
(4)Allison M.
And hope they don't forget that I asked for no pickles on my sandwich :(
(4)Rick W.
(5)Obeela O.
(5)Candace A.
Very delicious, very fast, very friendly. Has wireless, not too loud, ample seating. Wide selection of bagels, sandwiches, and other foods, for breakfast and lunch.
(5)Brian S.
(1)Nova L.
Bagels my guilty pleasure on the rare occasion that I treated myself to one I definitely like coming here
(4)Carey W.
(4)Cat P.
(5)Ellen L.
this bagel shoppe is very close to where i live, and i love that i can just walk here. their regular, standard-size bagels are $.99 each. gourmet bagels (anything with cheese in it) are more. i purchased: 1 strawberry bagel ($.99) pink coloured, but hard to taste the strawberry flavour. a few strawberry seeds were detected in the bagel.
(4)Maggie L.
(4)Steven L.
Ate here once. I enjoyed my bagel sandwich. Service was great. Place was clean. There is free wifi, but you need to ask them for the password
(5)Mike Q.
Amazing hazelnut coffee, delicious bagels. The owners are super friendly, I love them to death. Great morning spot!
(5)Aaron L.
(2)K M.
my fave sandwich shop!
(5)Edward Y.
(3)Maria V.
Great bagels and reasonable price!
(4)Katharine A.
I've grabbed some good bagels here with cream cheese for breakfast and the bagels always taste super fresh.
(4)Jesse S.
(2)Charlotte T.
Today was my first stop at the Bagel Street Cafe. I had the Vegetarian Eggwich, and the prices were good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I am huge on customer service, and feel that is key to a business success.
(4)Vicky L.
(3)Peaches C.
Really friendly staff and reasonable prices. They make the best egg and spinach whole wheat breakfast bagels.
(4)Raphael R.
I say that the service here leaves a lot of room to improve. Management and ownership were not able to address my order properly as professionally, after they made it incorrectly. The part of the order that was made correctly was tasty, but service is everything. I won't be back.
(1)Thomas C.
(5)Christine L.
(3)Kevin H.
Great place... Solid sandwiches Reasonable prices Friendly (but not annoying) staff
(4)Eric N.

Excellent bagels and great choices! Get there early as they do start running low on certain specialty bagels. The people who work there are also super nice.

Try it.
(4)J G.

(4)C M.
